How we work outside Riga

In the Riga region the work and prices are the same as in Riga (septic tank pumping up to 4 m³ from €75, BIO plant maintenance from €160), but outside Riga we add a travel charge of about €1/km. Close to the Riga boundary this is small, but in places further away, such as Saulkrasti, Sigulda or Ogre, the call-out makes up a more noticeable part of the bill. If you need several jobs at one address, list them in one request and there will be only one call-out.

In your request it helps to give the exact address, the system type and volume if you know them, and information about access: street width, gates, the distance from where the vehicle can stop to the hatch. Calculation examples: prices.

Each municipality has its own rules

The basic requirements for decentralised sewage systems across the country are set by Cabinet Regulation No. 384, but each municipality sets its own register holder, minimum pumping frequency and annual reporting. In Riga a septic tank must be pumped out at least once a year, while in Mārupe Municipality it is usually twice a year. In Salaspils Municipality you submit the water meter reading by 1 March, and in Sigulda Municipality the BIO plant maintenance certificate by 1 February. Co-financing for connecting to the mains sewer is also available only in some municipalities.
