We pump out domestic holding tanks, install pump stations with long pressure pipes, help separate rainwater from the domestic sewer and service toilets at events.
A warehouse far from the sewer main: three options
On flat, low-lying ground, a long gravity pipe struggles to keep its fall: with every metre it goes deeper, and far from the street it can end up in groundwater. That is why, in Spilve, sanitary facilities far from the street usually get one of three solutions.
| Solution | When it is chosen | Price from |
|---|---|---|
| Pump station and pressure pipe to the network | The network can be reached, but a gravity fall cannot be achieved | Station €1,650, pressure pipe €25/m |
| Holding tank with removal | Few staff, low water consumption | 2 m³ tank €800, removal €75 |
| BIO plant for a business | High consumption, and there is somewhere to discharge the treated water | Based on a calculation |
A pressure pipe is a narrow pipe under pressure that can be laid shallower and along the shortest route, as long as it is below the frost depth or insulated. The station needs a separate power supply and an alarm that the people working in the building can see. More: sewage pump stations, treatment plants for businesses, holding tank installation.
Low meadows, land drainage and rainwater
The Spilve meadows are low-lying and drained, and with the Daugava nearby, flooding and damp are part of the picture. Large areas of roof and asphalt produce a lot of water after a downpour. If it is fed into the domestic sewer or the pump station, the station is overloaded, and water that does not belong there ends up in the city network.
Riga's mains sewer regulations prohibit discharging groundwater, surface water and underground water into the network without the approval of Rīgas ūdens (Riga's water utility). For rainwater we build a separate system (rainwater drainage), and we pump the silt and sand out of the wells (drainage well cleaning).
In a low-lying spot, we choose sealed tanks and anchor them so they cannot float up. In a flood, surface water gets into a tank that is not sealed, and then you pay to have it taken away.

Documents a business needs after removal
Riga's rules on decentralised sewage systems also apply to business tanks. Removed wastewater may only be taken to treatment plants or reception points, and the pumping contractor issues a certificate for each removal. It must show the address, date, volume and the carrier's details.
- Storage: keep the certificates for at least two years.
- Annual report: declare the total cubic metres removed in the previous year to the Riga Housing and Environment Department no later than 1 May.
- Several facilities: if there are several tanks on the site, we list each address or facility separately on the certificate.
For regular work: pumping services for businesses.
A facility without a water supply
Some commercial facilities have no water supply at all: a seasonal hangar, a guard hut or a workshop used only part of the year. Then a dry toilet or a portable toilet, which we pump out as needed, is usually enough, and no permanent tank has to be built.
If water is brought in later, the situation changes: water consumption grows, and then you need a holding tank, a pump station or a treatment plant. It is worth planning this step together with the water pipe, so that both trenches are dug at the same time. More: dry toilet pumping.
Events in the airfield area
Events are also held in Spilve. For organisers, we pump out portable toilets and tanks; we agree access and a place for the tanker with the site manager, because the roads and gates depend on the specific venue. In your request, give the number of cabins, the days and the entrance to the site. More: portable toilet pumping.
The few residential houses
The scattered pockets of housing in Spilve may have a septic tank or a holding tank. The same Riga rules apply to them as to any house: registration with the Riga Housing and Environment Department and, for a septic tank, at least one removal a year. If there is a network in the street, Riga co-financing is available for connecting a residential house. Septic tank pumping in Spilve costs from €75.
Access and price
Spilve is reached via Daugavgrīvas iela and the roads towards Kleisti, but access depends on the specific site: gates, passes, internal roads. Spilve is in Riga, so we do not add a per-kilometre charge. The price is set by the volume pumped out and the hose length: a small tank from €75, a tanker load of up to 10 m³ from €110.

We also work in Iļģuciems, Kleisti, Voleri and Bolderāja. All places: where we work.
